![]() Thanks to the wheel’s comfort and responsiveness, performing full rotations to get through particularly tight corners never felt uncomfortable or unnecessarily challenging. This higher-end wheelbase allows for a rotation up to 1080 degrees (and as little as 270, all adjustable in the base’s PC control panel). When it comes to steering, the GT3 feels ultra-responsive and customizable thanks to the T818 base. And after a period of adjusting, shifting gears eventually felt like second nature. ![]() These do feel a little clunky and heavy at first, but they’re certainly not unresponsive. I was also able to access the team radio and navigate its options via a button press and with navigation from the directional encoder.Ĭhanging gears felt incredibly easy, too, thanks to the large rear paddles that I’d bound to shifting both up and down. I was able to tell the pit crew to get ready for my entry at the push of a button. The on-board action buttons provided a very welcome layer of immersion, too. Then, navigating that long right-hand corner at the end of the lap felt more satisfying than ever, as the wheel registered feedback accurately as I carefully balanced my turning angle. Racing at Monza in F1 23, for example, the wheel shook and provided strong (but not insurmountable) resistance as I slammed the brakes at that tight turn one. By default, I found the wheel to provide immersive, realistic feedback as I rocketed down straights and hit the brakes through tight corners. Device is now working properly with no other changes other than using a USB 2.0 port. One of the highlights of the Thrustmaster Ferrari 488 GT3 racing wheel is its excellent force feedback. This is the service that is being launched - Įdit 3: Found a thread where someone said their wheel only worked in USB 2.0 ports.and that worked for me. I attempted to have it launch in Administrator + compatibility mode, but that did nothing. It immediately launches when the wheel is plugged in. But when I attempt to update the firmware, it can't.Įdit 2: This is the process that once killed will allow the control panel to open. The firmware updater also can see the wheel now, and also shows version 0. Even more bizzarely, my firmware is showing 0. The control panel shows the wheel turning and its position, brake and gas being pushed as well as all the buttons.but when I go to test forces and click on any of them, they do nothing. I got the control panel to open - there was a thrustmaster process that seemed to be hogging up the wheel, killing it then allowed the control panel to open. For me it feels like its pretty obvious the shifter is not working and I need a replacement. Just to make sure Ive tried connecting the shifter to another pc and also into my ps3. After downloading the shifters control panel I see that the shifter isnt noticed there either. I updated the firmware (I received it on firmware 31, and the most recent is 34) and hoped that would fix it, but seems to have done nothing.Įdit: Issue just keeps getting weirder. The pc doesnt recognize the shifter in its control panel either. I plugged it in to my laptop with Windows 10 and was immediately able to get the Thrustmaster Control Panel working.genuinely the first time in months on Windows 11 that I've had an issue like this. I've spent several hours researching and poking around to no avail, so I'm a bit stuck. The wheel inputs do work, just with no force feedback (when I go into ACC, I can apply throttle/brake and steer).Īny suggestions would be massively appreciated. I tried running it in Windows 8 compatibility to no avail (I'm running Windows 11, which others have said is supported). I'll click on the "Control Panel" icon, and it'll open the "Game Controllers" Windows panel, I'll click on "Properties", but then the window freezes, and the Thrustmaster Control Panel never loads. Since the potentiometers on Thrustmaster pedals come with washers and nuts, you should get rid of them too when replacing an old potentiometer. Then, lift the individual pedals gently to expose and remove the potentiometers beneath them. I want to use it with my PC for now to play ACC, but I can't get the Thrustmaster Control Panel to load. non-functional: this problem has been detected with some motherboard models which require updates in order to function properly (update of the motherboard’s BIOS, VIA chipset’s 4 in 1 driver, VIA USB filter patch 1. Start by unscrewing the base plate on the pedal unit’s underside. Hi all, as the title says, I bought a T300 RS (non GT, so no clutch) and my PS5 is currently out of commission.
